Penthouse Overlooking the River In Vila Real de Santo Antonio

Two bedroom penthouse apartment in an excellent location overlooking the Guadiana river and Ayamonte Spain. Vila Real de Santo Antonio is the border town of the east Algarve and the Spainish town of Ayamonte, it is a lovely Portuguese town with everything that you could possibly need for your holiday here in the sunshine.

You can either drive across the bridge into Spain or catch the ferry boat and take a short boat ride across the river into the town. The tapas is lovey! With so many historical buildings, fantastic restaurants and bars it is an excellent base - plenty of shopping all year round.

The town also offers a theater, a variety of market stalls, markets and many fetes and festivals all year round. At Christmas there is a huge tree in the square which is surrounded with a variety of decorations and of course Santas Grotto! At New Years there is live music and an amazing firework display in Monte Gordo that rivals Disney! Worth seeing. Vila Real does have a beach which is not very well known and it is about a twenty minte walk from the apartment, it is a very nice walk as you walk along the river past the marina and a variety of bars and shops.

The penthouse is on the top (third) floor with security entrance hall. As you walk into the apartment you have a hall way that takes you through to the living room area which is well furnished and comfortable with a dining table and seating for four. There are sliding doors opeing out onto the terrace with a stunning view over the river Guadiana, marina and the Spanish town of Ayamonte. Table & chairs for four and a sofa and chairs to relax on and a small oriental garden - a fantastic, relaxing sun trap.A communal roof terrace is also available to use. The kitchen is open plan and is newly fitted, has a dishwasher,oven, hob, fridge, microwave and is fully equipped. The bedroom on this floor has fitted wardrobes and has sliding doors giving access to the terrace, both this bedroom and the living room are very sunny rooms. Down stairs you have a family bathroom with bath and shower, toilet, bidet and basin. A utility room with a washing machine, large fridge freezer & storage space. The second bedroom is a good size with fitted wardrobes - sliding doors leading out onto a small balcony with washing line, this is a very sunny room in the afternoon.

A very nice apartment which is comfortable and in an excellent location for relaxing and exploring the local areas. The next town from Vila Real is Monte Gordo which is a tourist town with bars, restaurants and shops.

The stunning beach front is fantastic and offers a variety of sports and activities in the summer. Monte Gordo also has a casino which has shows all year round.

Altura, Manta Rota and Tavira are not far away either and are very pleasant towns too and all worth a visit during your vist. Prices start from 450.00 Euros a week up to 800.00 Euros in the summer season. A security deposit is required.
